A Morristown native, Ford will discuss her book Go Back and Get It: A Memoir of Race, Inheritance and Intergenerational Healing. She will highlight the meaning of Juneteenth and shed light on the countless number of Black Americans who descended from slavery including her great grandmother who was the last of six children born to a Louisiana cotton broker and the enslaved woman he received as a wedding gift.
